Chelyabinsk Archeologists to Unearth New Sensation in Island of Vera

This summer researchers from Chelyabinck have advanced a new interesting hypothesis about the past of the Island of Vera. Archeologists suppose that thousands of years ago it was not only a religious, but also a big secular centre of the ancient people.

These ideas were brought about by results of the air survey, which was made before starting the expedition. The photos showed that on a plot 120 square meters large there are too many remains of old buildings. Up to date they were considered to be ruins of Old Believers buildings. Yet, by all probability they must by much older.

Above all, the archeologists surmise that this summer they will manage to establish the history of weather and nature changes that happened on the island about five and a half thousand years ago. It is the time of the Flood described in the Bible.
