Fitness Centre for Muslim Women opened in Moscow

Today the first fitness centre specially designed for Muslim women opened in the south of Moscow. To meet the Shari'ah norms all the staff of the new fitness centre including coaches, receptionists and securities are women. It is strictly observed that no man over the age of 3 could enter the gym during the training.

On the whole, the centre is similar to many visited by other people. There is a swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, etc.

According to official figures, about two million Muslims live in Moscow. There are over 40 Muslim communities in the city uniting people from different Russian regions, such as Bashkiria, Tatarstan, the republics of North Caucasus, as well as natives of Asian countries.
