Unique robotic chess player was recently demonstrated in Moscow. The idea belongs to father of famous Russian chess player Alexandra Kostenuk.
In order to create a robot, able to play chess without any help from a human being and beat the strongest chess players of the world, Russian engineers used most recent technologies in artificial intelligence and machine building.
The robot does everything itself moves chess and sets chess clock and can play shotgun game, when each participant has only 5 minute to play the game.
Such robots existed before only in science fiction. All previous attempts to build an automatic chess player failed or remained amateur.
