Monstration in Novosibirsk

Monstration is an alternative action which took place once again in Novosibirsk on the May, 1st. It is a grotesque imitation of annual First-of-May Manifestations in the Soviet Union and manifestations of different political parties taking place nowadays. The young people carried streamers and banners with slogans like “So what?”, “Keep the city tidy, eat one pigeon every day”, “After all it has done with my brains, the university must marry me”, “Oh, really?” and so on.

Such performances counterchange the routine of public holidays and they are indicative of the advanced society in the heart of Siberia.
