Biggest Festival of Comic Stories to be Held in Moscow

VIII Moscow International Natasha Monastyreva Festival of Graphic Novel will kick off in Moscow on the 1st of May.

Along with works by Russian artists 11 festivals from China, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Chili, and other countries will be presented in the framework of the event.

The KomMissia (ComMission) Festival was launched in 2002 and within a few years made its way up to the top five of Europe’s biggest comics festivals.

This time the organizers have decided to hold “the festival of festivals”: in order to house works by all the partakers – more than 500 artists from 12 countries – “KomMissia-2009’ will embrace several exhibition halls in the centre of Moscow.
