For the first time in the world history, wheeled cars reached geographic North Pole.

The notable event happened yesterday, on Sunday April 26, at 17.30 Moscow time. NO one and never had reached the North pole, driving a wheeled vehicle, before.

Two Russian cars “Emelya”, made at the plant of experimental transport (located in Tver Region), left the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago on March 20, 2009. The vehicles covered over 1100 kilometers of Arctic drifting ice, until they reached the goal – the North Pole.
