Russian Stock Exchanges allowed to trade in foreign securities

Today a bill concerning trading in foreign securities on Russian Stock Exchanges, has finally been passed in the third reading, reports the Interfax news agency.
Up to now foreign companies could place their securities on the Russian Exchanges only on the basis of an international contract or a specific arrangement made by the Security regulators.
The bill was first introduced to the State Duma in 2008, when the first reading took place, then it was approved at the beginning of April in the second reading.
The circulation of foreign securities on the Russian market will be the next step to formation of an international financial centre in Moscow.
