The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, is going to hold an exhibition of Egyptian relics this August. It will be the first exhibition of the kind in Russia since 1973.
The exposition will present items from the collection of Cairo National Museum, as well as artifacts discovered by Russian archeological expeditions in Egypt.
It is not yet clear what exactly will be brought to Moscow, yet it is known that financing for the exhibition has been searched after for five years.
The exhibition will run for two months at least. It will be held in the framework of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Pushkin Museum. The jubilee falls on 2012, yet the celebrations are already starting.
