A strong earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck off the Russian Pacific coastline this morning, 8.24 a.m. Moscow Time.
      
      The depth of the earthquake origin was at 39 km under the sea bed. Luckily, nobody is reported injured of wounded in closely located Severo-Kurilsk (the osland of Paramushir), where the quake shook the buildings at 3-4 magnitude, and several other towns lying on other islands of the Kuril chain.
      
      The local research centres report there is no tsunami risk to Kamchatka at the moment.
