Engineers from Kazan modified a medium-range aircraft Tu-214, which now can cover distances over 10 000 kilometers.
      
      The aircraft is unique, since not a single airplane of the same class can show same parameters. Modified Tu-214’s flight range is half as much as basic model’s. Developers emphasize that the record is set due to enhancement of airplane’s aerodynamic properties, not weight reduction.
      
      Medium-range aircraft Tu-214 is batch-produced in Kazan since 2003. The airplane carries 210 passengers and meets all international quality standards.
