Three New Bird Species Come to Altai
A greenfinch

Fellows of the Tigireksky natural reserve of Altai region were very surprised to discover three bird species, which were never seen there before.

These birds are: greenfinch (Chloris chloris), great gray (Lanius excubitor) and black-tailed hawfinch (Eophona migratoria), which is the first time visitor of not only Altai, but probably the whole Western Siberia.

Another interesting finding is the lichen Graphis scripta, which is an endangered species.

This year the Tigireksky natural reserve celebrates 10th anniversary. For years the reserve has protected animals, birds and plants of the area.
