Russia to invest $7 billion in first Turkish NPP

The preliminary amount of investments Russia is prepared to put into building of the first Turkish nuclear power plant is up to $7 billion. On the whole the operators of the project – Russian Atomstroyexport and Inter RAO – plan to spend $18-20 billion with the rest of $11-13 billion raised on the market.
      
      The Russian consortium including Turkish Park Teknik was the only bidder for the NPP construction project. The Turkey’s government is studying the draft project in detail.
      
      Earlier 13 Turkish and foreign companies bid for the Akkuyu nuclear power plant project. The Canadian consortium was regarded as the principal competitor of the Russian Atomstroyexport.
