SuperJet International focusing on marketing and post-sales support for Superjet 100, new Russian fly-by-wire regional jets, opened an office in Washington DC. The new North American office will be run by John Buckley, vice president, business development.
      
      SuperJet International is a joint venture formed by Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company, holding a 51% stake in business and Sukhoi Holding (49%). SuperJet International is in charge of slaes, marketing and delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 to European, American and African markets as well as to Japan and Oceania. Besides, the company maintains world-wide post-sale support for SSJ100.
      
      A SuperJet International branch is already active in Moscow, together with sales offices in Toulouse, France and Washington, DC, USA.
