The Gallery Na Solyanke has opened the exhibition “Fyodor Khitruk: Boniface, Winnie the Pooh, Film, film, film … graphic works, sketches, animated films and materials for them”.

Sketches, story boards, time studies, photos – all these are displayed in the gallery rooms and arranged into sections of a creative workshop: each animation’s section is accompanied with reminiscences by Fyodor Khitruk and other artists concerning its creation. Mainly the things conducted by Fyodor Khitruk were implemented on the sketch level by Vladimir Zuykov, Sergey Alimov and Eduard Nazarov.

Though the titled classic of animation is already 91 and he joined Soyuzmultfilm Studio as early as 1937-1938, it is his first personal exhibition. One of the most famous characters created by the illustrious artist is Ole Lukoje from The Snow Queen (Snezhnaya koroleva) (1957).

In the next room one can study frame-by-frame the amusing gait of Khitruk’s charming Winnie the Pooh.
The exhibition runs till 8 February.
