New U.S. President Barack Obama is going to visit Russia in April, Kommersant daily newspaper reports, referring to some “source close to the U.S. State Department”. The newspaper also proposes that in March new U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton might come to Russia with good news: Obama`s administration has already made a decision to cut down expenses for the anti-missile defence program.
According to Kommersant, Obama`s visit to Russia is most likely to take place during his first tour across Europe. However, the RF President administration says they have not received any official suggestions on this point. At the same time some "no name" source of Kommersant`s deems that if the information about Obama`s visit is confirmed, it will mean the U.S. administration takes Russia as a high-priority partner.
