Russia and Ukraine agreed for an international summit to discuss the stability of gas supplies to Europe in Moscow on Saturday.
The EU's energy commissioner and the Czech industry and trade minister agreed to attend as observers if Ukraine took part. Ukrainian Prime Minister will be in Moscow for one-on-one talks with Russia’s Prime Minister on Saturday, raising the possibility that she would attend the summit.
Russia cut all gas supplies pumped to the West through Ukraine last week in a pricing dispute with Kiev. A bilateral deal was signed Monday to restart gas supplies to the West, but no shipments have been received.
