Russian and Venezuelan presidents met in Caracas to sign a whole package of agreements including on nuclear energy projects for civil needs, air communication, and visa-free travel.
Military co-operation was high on the agenda of talks. The meeting produced agreements to promote the development of nuclear energy for civilian use, and set up a joint bank and use national currencies — roubles and bolivars – in mutual accounts.
The presidents emphasized the growing bilateral trade, which exceeded one billion dollars last year. The countries also are to pursue joint gas projects.
