Jean Michel Jarre Titled Honorary Doctor of Mendeleyev University

On the 18th of November Jean Michel Jarre became the Honorary Doctor of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
      The appropriate document was handed to the composer a day before. The President of the Academic Senate Pavel Sarkisov presented the composer with a diploma, a Doctors gown and a commemorative medal. In his turn, the musician spoke about his love of Russia, mentioning that he enjoys coming to this country and giving concerts here.
      The D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia established the Honorary Doctors Degree back in 1961. Among the figures granted with it are Margaret Thatcher, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Jose Carreras, Montserrat Caballe, Thor Heyerdahl, Galina Vishnevskaya, and many others.
