Finger Language to be Unified

Scientists from Russian city of Novosibirsk develop software, aimed at unifying finger language, which Russian deaf people use.

Deaf people do not have a unified language – every city has its own dialect. Even common words are often shown by means of different gestures. Russian scientists decided to help deaf people with this problem.

New software displays a sign language interpreter, who first gestures and then explains the context. At the moment the dictionary contains ten thousand words. Tests will follow soon.
