RBC-TV wins Hot Bird TV Award

RBC-TV has been named the best news channel in Europe. It received the Hot Bird TV Award in the News nomination Monday.

RBC-TV has outstripped the BBC Arabic service, Bloomberg Television, and France24 in the News nomination. The company's Director General Artem Inyutin said the channel is popular due to its round the clock broadcast policy and a great number of analytical programmes.

The Awards are administered by a jury of media experts and organised annually by Eutelsat, together with Eurovisioni and Sat Expo. This year's event assembled broadcasting talent and innovation from over 130 thematic channels from 17 countries.
