Tomorrow Moscow State University will hold a ceremony, dedicated to scientific cooperation of Russia’s oldest university with IBM company. Joint research will involve high-performance computing.
Scientists from MSU and IBM will work in the supercomputer laboratory Blue Gene, which was recently open at the faculty of computational mathematics and cybernetics. First joint research deals with studies of how nanomolecular electronic switches work under various conditions. Said electronic switches can become a good alternative to existing transistors.
Cooperation fields include nanotechnologies, biology, D&D (design and development), financial activities and risk management, as well as other spheres of science, where mathematical modeling with high-performance computing is effective in solving most complicated problems.
