Seoul and Moscow have signed an agreement on supplying 10 billion cubic meters annually to South Korea.
The gas will be transported though the gas-pipes on North Korean territory. The gas supply memorandum has been signed by the heads of the state corporations Gazprom and Korea Gas. According to the document South Korea will get the right to access Russian gas for thirty years since 2015. The project price is to make up 90 billion USD.
The gas contract signing has coincided with the two day official visit of the South Korean president Lee Myung-bak to Russia.
