Russia shows highest corruption level for 8 years

Russia has been recognized as a country with a high rate of corruption, shifting three positions down since 2007 and showing the worst result for the last eight years.
      
      Russia takes the 147th position in turms of corruption level out of 180 countries according to the annual report of the Transparency International, the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. The 147th position is shared with Bangladesh, Kenya and Syria. Last year Russia was on the 143th position.
      
      Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Laos and Papua New Gunea come immediately after Russia. Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand show the highest rank.
