Japan Intends to Build Tourist Complex at Baikal

A delegation from Japan arrived to the Republic of Buryatia of the RF with an official visit on the 25th of August and expressed interest in investments in the Baikal recreation zone.
      
      Japanese are considered to be one of the most travelling nations. However, they are rare guests in Buryatia: within the last 5 years only 848 Japanese tourists visited the region. The Japanese delegation to Buryatia marked that they draw special attention to possibilities of travel at Baikal. Representatives of the business circles of Japan are interested in solving the transport and logistic problems in the republic and try to get the full idea for discussing the issue of investments for building a large Japanese tourist complex at the recreation zone Baikal located near Turka village.
