Russia to Launch First Angolan Satellite

The Angolan authorities have formalized the project of construction, launch, and control of the first Angolan satellite Angosat. The contractors of the project are the Ministry for Postal Links of Angola and the Russian concern Rosoboronexport. The project has been estimated at $US326,7 million.
      
      The satellite is intended to monitor the Angolan territory, provide national security and will meet the demands of the growing economy of the country, according to an official information agency of Angola.
