Legislation on establishing a public council on morality in films and TV has been introduced to the State Duma. The council is expected to assess released films and telecasts.
      
      25 people from various social strata are planned to become the council members. However politicians will not be allowed there. The mechanism of the council’s actions has not been elaborated yet.
      
      Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin believes that “the council must not forbid anything, but should formulate an opinion, which will be brought to the viewers’ notice. Film director Pavel Lungin, in his turn, assures that “if the council will decide what amount of blood can be used and what not, then it is hopeless”.
      
      The sitting concerning the establishment of the council gathered together its would-be members publicly elected in the internet: singer and State Duma deputy Joseph Kobzon, film director Pavel Lungin, archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, journalist Mikhail Leontev, actor Aleksander Mikhailov, actor and film director Nikolai Burlyaev and others.

A timely decision to prevent cruelty,blood shed,prostitution,theft,robbery,violence and such lot away from becoming as if the tolerated norms of Russian society.A person intoxicated with liquor,drugs etc and in such a state will not be able to decide or judge a sober person.So also years of abuse of TV and films has made almost all of Europe,most of Asia and its people loose their soberity by the misuse of media, by the so called film makers and media moghuls. In addition, there is nothing new in the western culture to contribute or offer to the world and so what they have they give especially through TV and films.And because this they themselves know what they can offer as decadent,they offer it coverd with women's nude body,wanton blood shed,violence,justifying immorality like the so called cultured prostatitution,shooting,car chase etc.,etc. If russia were not to ceck this in their society,many of them will slowly become morally distorted human beings, as are all of the West.Whre are the feminists of the West? Don't they know that the feminine body is neither to be sold or auctioned for prostitution in TV and films????? As Vsevolod chaplin has apptly and most fittingly said these 'partial to one's own sex' advocates and activists,the homos and the lesbians, are blind and deaf or what? Are there no decent women left in the west who does not feel revulsion at the way in which TV and films treat women's nude body to make money for themselves. So before such cancers of the culture invade Russia,let russia be wise and protect Herself.Good and timely move.Congragulations. T.P.Mathew
