London authorities have issued a building permit for a new Roman Abramovich’s luxurious mansion right in the centre of the British capital. The new house of the Russian tycoon is to occupy the existent 9-apartment property built in 1830s, which is to undergo total reconstruction and conversion to meet the requirements of the owner.
The building is located in Lowndes Square next to the famous Harvey Nichols department store. British architect John Simpson will work on the project estimated at £150 million.
Before the reconstruction works are started London authorities said the construction materials used should match the original ones of the building.
Roman Abramovich also owns a £29-million estate in Kensington, a £10-million house in St. Tropez and a big estate under Moscow.
