Russian city of Zhukovsky hosted first tests of new aircraft engine AL-55I, developed in domestic construction bureau.
The engine was installed on a new training aircraft MiG-AT together with "Larzak" engine, which was made in France. Tests were a success, and AL-55I confirmed all calculated parameters.
The aircraft spent thirty one minute in the air, where AL-55I provided elevation for 3000 meters and maximum speed of 610 km per hour. First stage of tests consists of 30 test flights.
New development is a result of Russia's contract with India.
