Moscow recently hosted a meeting, covering modeling of nanotechnological processes and nanostructures.
Said meeting welcomed many researchers from the field of mathematical modeling of physical and chemical processes and other processes, taking place on the atomic and molecular levels.
Participants agreed that experimental techniques, usually used during development of nanomaterials with given properties, were too expensive and not always successful. Mathematical modeling on the verge of chemistry, physics, biology, information and cognition is much more effective. Such technology allows predicting composition, properties and characteristics of future nanomaterial at once.
