The Moscow authorities have decided to equip city transport with a new safety system. So-called “alert buttons” will appear in buses, trams, and trolleybuses. The buttons will let passengers inform the driver about emergency situations occurring in the transport salon.
Besides, public transport in the Russian capital will be equipped with special systems of navigation that will let the traffic controllers trace location of a bus, trolleybus or a tram and establish connection with the driver. It has been decided to open 5000 traffic controller offices to operate the navigation system.
