The Embassy of Switzerland in Moscow has been trying to reach agreement with the Federal Agency for Air Transport of Russia over flights of the Swiss air carrier Flybaboo to St. Petersburg. Last week the Russian authorities did not let the Swiss airline carry out its first flight to St. Petersburg.
According to Flybaboo, the airline’s administration had followed all the necessary formal procedures for carrying out the first flight on the route Geneva-St. Petersburg that was scheduled May 27; however, at the last moment Moscow did not give permit for takeoff from Geneva.
“The Russian party found that the airline provided an incomplete suite of documents and the air carrier had to put off flights on May 27 and 29”, as the Flybaboo message says. “The exact reason of the ban is unknown. We have been trying to find it out”, as the diplomatic mission comments.
