Aeroflot Faces 2-year Delay of Boeing-787 Supplies

American aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co. will delay supplies of long-haul planes Boeing-787 Dreamliner to Aeroflot for over 2 years, as director general of the Russian air carrier Valery Okulov reports. According to his words, a month ago Boeing notified Aeroflot that the terms of Dreamliner supplies were shifted for 28 months. On the whole Aeroflot ordered 22 Boeing-787 Dreamliner aircraft and the supplies were expected to begin in 2014.

It is not the first time Boeing shifts the terms of Boeing-787 Dreamliner supplies in order to have enough time to finish assembly of the first aircraft. The first test flight of the air liner was rescheduled from the end of March 2008 to June 2008, and the first supplies will start at the beginning of 2009 while they were expected to start at the end of 2008.
