Writers to Present Dostoyevsky Monument to Greece

International Federation of Russian Language Writers is going to present monument of Fyodor Dostoyevsky to Greece.

The monument that may be set up this November already will be raised on the Greek mountain Helicon (Boeotia Region) on the area of a congress centre belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church.

The news agency reports neither who the author of the Dostoyevsky sculpture is nor any other details concerning the monument. It is only known that the project has been blessed by Hieronymus II Archbishop of Athens and All Greece: The personality [of Dostoyevsky] is especially congenial to us for the reason of its wide international recognition, as well as profound essential relation of this writer to Orthodox church tradition of faith and thought.
