Penza “Doomsday” Cult Followers left their Cave

The cult members, who have been hiding in a cave in the Penza Region since last November, left their dugout this morning after they were told about possible ptomaine poisoning. Several hours before that, the police and rescuers retrieved the bodies of two dead women, who had died in different times in the cave.

The medical examination of the former hermits showed no health deterioration.

Earlier it was reported that 35 people including children anticipated the end of the world in the cave. The leader of the sect, who predicted the apocalypse to take place in May, was sent to a mental hospital to face compulsory treatment.
