For the first time Russian Pavilion will be open in the International Village in the framework of the 61st Cannes Film Festival planned to be held from the 14th to 25th of May.
It is planned to become the only informational centre of Russian cinematographers and will be officially representing Russia at the Cannes Film Festival and film market.
Russian Industry Guide with most complete information on modern Russian film industry is expected to be issued for the pavilion opening.
One of the key events in the work of the pavilion will be the night celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russian film-making. One day of the pavilion work will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary since Mikhail Kalatozov’s Flying Cranes won the Golden Olive.
