Strategic Bomber Jets Rehearsal in Moscow (April 29 and May 5)

On April 29 and May 5, during the trainings for May 9 Victory Parade, strategic bomber jets of the Air Force of Russia will twice fly above Moscow, as head of the long-haul aviation headquarters Anatoly Zhikharev reports.
We have organized a number of trainings that showed readiness of our long-haul aviation crews for taking part in the parade. There are two more trainings to be carried out in the Moscow sky, he said. According to Anatoly Zhikharev, the Air Force has prepared a surprise for the parade spectators, but it is kept in secret.
Last time the Air Force pilots participated in the May 9 Parade in 1995 when planes flew above the Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.
This time various types of long-haul aircraft of the Air Force are expected to be demonstrated at the parade: strategic bomber jets TU-160 and TU-95MS, long-haul bomber jet TU-22MZ and tanker aircraft TU-95MS. Besides, the TU-95 will demonstrate aerial refuelling from the tanker aircraft.
The flight of long-haul aircraft will be carried out accompanied by strike-jets. No aerobatics is to be performed above Red Square because it is prohibited, Anatoly Zhikharev marks.
