Russia waits for Special tribunal for Lebanon start

Russia will support the initiative on creation a Special tribunal for Lebanon to pursuit those suspected of assassinating former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, claimed the current Permanent Representative of the RF to the UN Vitaly Churkin.
We are going to support the Special tribunal in all possible ways, said Mr. Churkin. The purpose for establishing the Special tribunal for Lebanon is preventing such murders in future and punishing the guilty.
The final decision on establishing the tribunal is to be taken in the nearest time by the UN general secretary.
Hariri was assassinated on 14 February 2005 when explosives equivalent to around 1000 kg of TNT were detonated as his motorcade drove past the St. George Hotel in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
