Permit on flights of IL-86 aircraft that carry out the lion’s share of passenger transportation to Egypt, expires on the 15th of May 2008 and no permit prolonging is expected. The Ministry of Transport of Russia has already received a letter from their Egyptian “colleagues” notifying that they do not plan to prolong the permit.
      
      Earlier Egypt constantly prolonged permit on IL-86 flights due to the country found it beneficial that such big aircraft could carry many tourists to Egypt. Now, however the ban on IL-86 planes will come into force.
      
      At first IL-86s were banned from flying to the EU countries and since 2009 they will also be banned from flying to Montenegro.
