Supercomputer Launched in MSU
Quad-core processor

Today Moscow State University held launching ceremony for one of most powerful supercomputers in the world.
      
      This machine was developed by the Institute of Software Systems of Russian Academy of Sciences together with Belarusian “T-Platforms” company. Computer performs 60 trillion operations per second. New supercomputer ranks third in Europe and twenty-first in the world.
      
      This achievement of Russian technologies will bring domestic science and innovation technologies to new stage of development. The computer consists of 1250 quad-core processors, being most powerful in Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe.
