On February 27 lama Ole Nydahl started a tour across Russia accompanied by over 300 Buddhists from all over the world. They intend to visit 11 Russian cities. In each city Ole Nydahl will give lectures dedicated to the basic elements of Buddhism and its role in the modern world.
Ole Nydahl represents the Tibetan tradition of Karma Kagyu – one of the four traditions of Tibet Buddhism. He has founded over 500 centres and meditation groups around the world; 60 of them are situated in Russia – from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Ole Nydahl normally visits Russia twice a year.
