Korea may release Russian Lidiya Demesh

The crew of the Russian ship The Lidiya Demesh may be released today.
      The consul in the North Korean city of Chongjin, Yevgeny Valkovich, has met the captain and crew of the Russian ship today who are held at the port in Kimchaek on the Sea of Japan. The consul has signed an agreement with the Korean side on releasing the ship and its crew.
      North Korean authorities were holding a Russian cargo ship and the 25 people aboard after it violated the isolated country's sea border.
      North Korean coast guards detained the Lidia Demesh on Saturday after it approached the coastline while en route from Japan to Vladivostok with a cargo of automobiles.
