Beatles Monument to Appear in Samara

Samara fans of The Beatles are going to set up a monument to the legendary Liverpool fourth on October 9, the birthday of John Lennon.
      
      One of the monument projects is ready. Its author is the well-known Samara sculptor Ivan Melnikov. They intend to collect 5 million roubles for the monument through the charity fund established specially for this purpose.
      
      Paul McCartney is expected to arrive in Samara and give a concert on the monument's unveiling day, marking John Lennon's birthday. The monument will be set up on the Volga River Embankment.
