Indian steel giant acquires three coal mines in Russia

Arcelor Mittal, the world’s largest steel company, announced it is ready to acquire three Russian coal pits from Severstal for $720 million, the media centre of the company reported.
      
      According to the transaction’s details, Arcelor Mittal will own 97.59% of the stock of Berezovskaya coal mine and 99.35% of Pervomayaskaya coal mine shares.
      
      Additionally the company will take over 100% of Anzherskoye coal mine and purchase the coal washing plant Severnaya.
