Moscow Closes All Halal Cafes and Restaurants

There has not been a single restaurant or café meeting the standards and norms of the Sharia left in Moscow. The Board of Muftis of Russia is not going to prolong “halal” certification for the city cafes and restaurants that earlier operated under these standards as many of them were found to roughly violate the norms of Islam.

The Koran defines accurately the notions of “haram” (the forbidden) and “halal” (the permissible). Muslims are forbidden to consume pork, blood, dead meat, alcohol, and to smoke. The “halal” restaurants of Moscow have violated the Koran laws by allowing the visitors to smoke inside and drink alcohol while everything was all right with the food itself.
