Tanks and Missiles to Come Back to Red Square

The Ministry of Defence of Russia has decided to revive the Soviet tradition of involving military armoured vehicles and missiles in the annual parade dedicated to the victory over Nazi Germany. On 9 May 2008 the Victory Parade will take place in Red Square with participation of not only tanks, but also the newest missile complexes.

The military men and the Moscow authorities have already discussed the route that the armoured vehicles will follow in the Russian capital and their maximum allowed weight. The authorities claim that participation of military vehicles and missiles in the parade will not affect the normal rhythm of the city life.
