Russian Divers Present Museum with Mammoth Bones

At the beginning of January 2007 members of the diving club Triton in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg found fragments of mammoth shin-bones and three laws in the Tobol River of the Kurgan region of Russia. The jaws supposedly belonged to some ancient bison-buffalo.

The divers took an advantage of the traditional Day of Donator at the local Museum of Regional Studies and its 137th jubilee and presented the museum with the bones and the jaws. On the same day the event was attended by over 40 visitors who also presented the museum with other exhibits.
