Japan and Russia set up $100 million mutual fund

SBI Holdings, a Japan-based financial company, and Metropol, one of Russia’s largest investment financial companies, are prepared to settle a $100 million mutual fund for investments in promising Russian enterprises. If the venture is successful, the volume of the fund will be increased up to $500 million.
      
      According to the official representative of SBI Holdings, the parties will invest $50 million each. Preliminary, the money will be put into IT companies, though other variants are also being considered.
      
      It is also known, that the companies have agreed to set up a joint venture to manage the fund.
