The first night in the restored building of the Bolshoi Theater will be the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila by Mikhail Glinka. The performance will be given for the first time on October 1, 2009.
      
      The opera will be staged by the stage director Dmitry Chernyakov and the music director of the Bolshoi Theatre Alexander Vedernikov.
      
      La Scala theatre will become the first foreign guest of the Bolshoi Theatres historic stage. The famous theatre from Milan will be touring in Moscow in November, 2009.
