The 1st Moscow Architecture Biennale will be held in the Russian capital in May-June 2008.
The exhibition will display models of constructions and layouts of the city that have been provided by the Moscow Architecture Committee and make part of the General Plan of Moscow Development up to 2025, the city administration explains.
According to the Plan, 90 million square meters of housing habitation, as well as lots of cultural, sports and educational objects are expected to be built by 2025. Transportation will become one of the focal points of the General plan: metro lines are planned to be increased to 440 km, and railroads are to be adjusted for the intra-urban traffic, ITAR TASS reports.
The exposition will be located in the exhibition hall of the Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val.
