Today the auto giant Toyota Motor Corp has opened its first plant in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is the first plant in Russia which will produce premium-class cars.
      
      The plant aims to produce 20,000 Camry sedans a year in the initial phase and later increase its output to 50,000. The output could eventually reach 200,000 cars a year. The car production employs more than 600 workers.
      
      Toyota invested 5 billion rubles (US$202 million or ?140 million) into the plant, which took about 2 1/2 years to build.
